Initated by Matt Margolis, Sonya Mehta, Flavia de la Fuente, and Matthew Stevens of UCLA.

According to their Facebook Group, Governor Schwarzenegger just proposed completely eliminating the Cal Grant program, which provides financial aid to almost 300,000 students. If this program is eliminated, many of those will not be able to continue their education.

We need to start building a network to stop these cuts now. Invite everyone that would want to save this program. California is about to go from one of the most socially conscious states to one of the most tightfisted ones. Lets start the work to stop this.

Starting next week, I'm going to start asking you guys to help out in this fight. We are going to need to place THOUSANDS of calls up to Sacramento and I'm going to need everyone's help. You all will get more information soon, but in the mean time just keep spreading this information.
